PhD programs and CMDI

PhD programs and CMDI

CMDI graduate students come from graduate programs reflecting the broad inter-disciplinary base of CMDI, spanning the sciences. Currently our CMDI trainees are enrolled in the following PhD granting degree programs:

Biology

Quantitative Biosciences

Bioinformatics

Bioengineering

Chemistry and Biochemistry

Ocean Science & Engineering

Physics

Mathematics

Electrical and Computer engineering

If you are interested in applying for a PhD in a CMDI lab, we recommend you first contact individual faculty members in your area of interest, and ask them which PhD programs they typically recruit from. Application processes and deadline vary by program, but the general calendar is to apply by late fall.  For more information about applying to Ph.D. programs at Georgia Tech, visit grad.gatech.edu

CMDI graduate students benefit from additional layers of support, in particular via Dr. Carina Baskett’s program of writing support  – including individual mentorship through the process of fellowship application writing.
